Also, when I was there there was a group of orange TJ's wheeling on hells revenge and dan Mick gave the kids in the Jeeps ice cream. We're you there on those dates?

If he lifts his Jeep before heading to Moab then I wouldn't worry about removing the side steps. I've never even scratched a rock rail in Moab, and I tend to take the harder lines when I have a choice. If he's only doing a 3 1/2 or a 4 rated trail then his side steps will be fine.

I want to go back to Moab! Moab is like Mecca--all Jeepers should be required to visit at least once in their lifetime.

Racer, A two jeep convoy sounds good . I planned a route and it's about a 30 hour trip from Philly.
I plan on a 2 1/2 to 3 inch lift if I should take the steps off I will it's only 12 bolts. but if You think they'll be ok I'll keep em on, that's if I don't get rails by then.

Damn thats a long trip to be planning!

That's 1700+ miles from pittsburgh.... well worth it I'm sure, though

I'm driving from Columbus, Ohio on September 1st to Colorado/Moab and the others areas of interest in the 4 corners. I've got 2 weeks of vacation, and I plan on having a great time Jeeping, sightseeing, and camping.
