Roktoberfest 2011
Thanks to all the new changes in rules and regulations the BLM has implimented over the past year, there was serious doubt as to whether or not Roktoberfest 2011 would be able to happen. Because of this, we purposefully held off from making any posts about it and no announcement was made regarding it until 6 days before. Still, in spite of all this, by Friday night we ended up having 41 JK's show up for our little party in the desert and by Saturday, there were well over 60!! Nothing quite like last year but, it was a hell of a lot more than I would have expected and, I think everyone had a great time. Here are some pics from the fun we had.
As always, mmccurdy and Maria came in super early on Friday and got a better part of the world famous Trashed Pumpkin Saloon setup...
And, what wasn't done, guys like Ragnar JK quickly jumped in and helped to finish up...
Let there be light! The Trashed Pumpkin Saloon is open...
Before long, our little camp was starting to look like a boomtown with a main street...
Let the Honey flow - JeepCacher pouring up the first shot of the night!
Ta-Da...
And, where honey flows - people go...
To all our friends old and new - CHEERS!!
Of course, what's a party out in the desert without a big fire....
Camp at sunrise...
Time to air down and get ready to have some fun on the rocks...
And, now it's time to have some fun on Chicken Rock before hitting Bullfrog...
Moving on to Bullfrog...
And here we go...
The first drop into the trail is a fun one...
Moving on to more fun...
What's a good day out on the trail if you don't break out the winch at least once...
And of course, ya gotta have at least one flat to fix...
Gotta love that tippy feeling...
A Brife meet up with the Cakewalk run group before parting ways...
Back at camp and having some fun playing cornhole and get ready to party...
HONEY BADGER has no respect for other animals - he's a badass!! The first of 2 sidewinders we found that night...
ZIGGY ZAGGY ZIGGY ZAGGY OY OY OY!!
Time to leap some fire...
Yes, we are being completely silly here...
Ending the evening with some nice dancing...

I would like to give a BIG thanks mmccurdy and Maria for coming down to another year of fun out in the desert and for helping to make it so over the top with their awesome Trashed Pumpkin Saloon. I would also like to thank wildandwillin for being kind enough to lead such a big group on the trails. Of course, I can't forget to thank CALIJK, modestoperandi, brainchild, NDN_GRN and AMCJeff for being kind enough to bring out kegs and everyone else who were able to bring out some honey!! I'm sure I'm missing a few well needed thank you's and for anyone that I missed, I apologize, you guys all rock!!

) who might have had one or two too many and need the photo evidence of the events...great job on the pics Andrew and it was good seeing you again. Cindy and Eddie thanks as always for putting on a great event...it's really hard to try and please the masses but you always do a good job of showing anyone, who wants to come out and join in, a good time!
