Siver Lake Sand Dunes
Yesterday I went with the JK Rubi to Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan. The goup I was with was the Wolverine 4 wheelers.
Anyway I got stuck in the sand where I needed help 3 times as I tended to be too tentative going over the tops of the dunes. Then you sink in and are stuck.
My observations is that the Rock Crawler transfer case is too low for sand as you need speed and power. I found mysel in first or second gear high rang most of the time.
After finally learning how to drive in the sand the big obstical called test hill was no problem. The key here is learning how to drive in the sand.
Anyway even though it was lots of fun, driving in the sand is really hard on your equipment as you always need lots of power to move.
Anyway I had lots of fun. Bad news is I forgot the camera.
