My Mom is visiting from MN, she wanted to see the mountains. I love these trails. What a beautiful day. RubiBldr is the white jeep.

Sounds like a big day. Last time I did MSV/Coney it was 6 hours on the trail but it was a busy day (Father's day last year). How's the mud on Caribou?

Saw you at the gas station in Ned. I should have stopped to chat. Next time.

You should have stopped! It only took about 3.5 hrs for both trail time. We stopped for about an hour at the top of caribou part 2 to have lunch. I bet we only saw 5 other vehicles all day on the trail.

Lots of mud and water on caribou, but it wasn't all that bad. The really rutted part of the trail after the creek was mostly dry. Still rutted, but dry.

We were up at St. Vrain by 845 or so. Early is good there--folk from Denver haven't had time to get there yet.

Those trails fll in the easy catagory, but with the water, the beauty, man, I love them.

For JK enthusiasts who've ruined their Jeeps blasting through "puddles," here's how you do a water crossing: no uber-deep and/or unknown depth bodies of water, slow entry speed, and no wake.

I'm pretty sure those are 39.5 IROKs.

All, thanks for the compliments. We are lucky. This trail is about 30 minutes from home.

Coney flats looks fun, but my stock jeep might be a bit to low to ford that puddle in your pic. I guess it'd be an easy floorboard cleaning...lol caribou was fun, we checked out those ruins of that hotel and house. Kinda of weird to walk where people slept....150 yrs ago or so. We started the trail and right away found ourselves in an open area next to some smal waterfall, signed a geo cache, had lunch, then headed to the creek and on through. My fav trail out of the 4 I did was peirson park rd. Sort of a challenge in a stock jku x, I guess. Fun nonetheless. Rock on witcha bad self.
