Stag Hill - Mahwah, NJ...anyone ever been?
Just curious if any fellow east coast jeepers, preferably in Jersey, have been here? If so, what are your thoughts? Are there multiple trails or is it just one? Any water crossings?
Of course, most important question - is it legal? Don't really feel like gettin' busted.

Will do. Most likely going this upcoming weekend with 2 others jeeps (another JK and not sure about the other jeep), you're more than welcome to join if plans still go as planned.
I've watched some video's on YouTube, just type in stag hill nj. Looks pretty fun if you ask me. No Rausch Creek, but it'll do for now.

I started this same thread in the "east coast" staging area as well, it has more members participating if you wanna join in there. As far as the date, its still up in the air but a mid-march date is being tossed around...and join if ud like, just show up when we pick a date and time...

Number 1 it is not legal but all the times ive been there i have yet to see a cop or ranger. My friends have seen rangers but there usually in a ford ranger 2wd so if you cant get away thats your fault. Other than that it really does have everything. Multiple exit an entrance points you can ride the trails from mahawah all the way to ringwood, wanaque, or hillburn maybe even farther. I grew up in Mahwah and i dont really think anyone has seen all the trails up there. The trails range from deep mud pits that dont look very deep until your stuck, steep rock climbs, water crossings, and everything inbetween. Over all it is an amazing spot and I highly recommend it just dont get lost if it is your first time.
