Default Stewart Farm, Concord, NC

There is a privately owned course in Concord, NC called Stewart Farm. It is $10 per vehicle to ride and play all day. The basic trails aren't that challenging, but the mud from the recent rains and snows made parts of it very hairy. There is a swamp, a river and 3 routes up a rock face for those that want a challenge.

My little 2-week old JK "X" was the only stock vehicle there and I was VERY pleased by how well it performed. Yes, I took the easiest routs I could, but with the stock tires on mud as slick as ice, it made it all the way through without getting stuck!

We had one roll-over on the rock wall, and there are pics and a video in one of the following posts.

Mine was the only JK there, and the only pic I really have of it is from before the start. To keep this JK on topic, here it is.

Now on to the pictures!

The start of the course

Father & Son Samurais returning to base

A little mud-flinging action. The mud was as slippery as ice today!

Some smaller rocks, warming up for the "Cake Walk"

Attempting a field-expedient repair.... hitting it with another rock!

Pulling it out doesn't work so well...

To see how it got righted, check out this video...

And after almost burning out the winch, it was back on top of the hill.

If you are coming up 85, the easiest way to go is to get off the freeway at the Concord Mills exit, turn right towards the speedway. That road "T"s right in front of the race track. Turn right. The next intersection is Moorehead. The next available left AFTER Moorehead is Hudspeth Road.

Turn Left on Hudspeth Rd just before the shell station. Go to the first hard left curve and there is a white sign that says RV sites on the right in that curve. Turn into that driveway and go all the way to the end. You will see the gate at the end thats where you go in to wheel. Its 10 dollars per vehicle to wheel all day.
