If my jeep couldn't make it through that I'd throw a match in the tank and letter burn.

Momentum is your friend in mud conditions. Once you stop all your going to do is bury yourself. But with lockers he should have been able to back out pick a better line. Every situation is different it all depends on the driver. I'm guessing he was Open/Open.

No lockers. I kind of approached the situation knowing I would probably get stuck. The first big hole was way too deep on one side, and no room for running start and once out of the first hole there was no where to go except more mud and trees too close together. Very poor planning on my part, but still fun! I have been wheeling for more than a few years, and in situations like that I do miss my YJ with lockers.

That area is deceptive and most that go into that big gets stuck, it always has water in that area. There is another spot straight west of the pro shop that is even worse and I always avoided that mud. Too much cleaning and their mud will stain soft tops

Yes Mud does stain soft tops... I'v tried everything under the sun short of diesel fuel trying to clean the mud splatter off of it. I'm at the point where I think that will be my mudding top and I'm going to buy a Spice color one for rainy summer days.

I usually end up pulling the soft windows out and rattle can dying them once a year either due to scratching from trails or mud stains. Sometimes there is just no scrubbing that off.
