Default Tellico OHV in Murphy, NC

"The South" is planning a trip to Tellico in early November. I have heard that some of the trails have been changed or closed in some areas. Has anyone been there recently or know anything about the changes?

Thanks!

Default Tellico changes.

Hey I was there for 4 days in May. They have taken alot of the big rocks out on trail 5 with putting in speed bump like mounds of dirt with water collection holes all down the trail. Trail 4 is the same way but with fewer speed bumps. trail 6 is about the same as a i remember. They put a bridge over the water crossing at the campground. Lower 2 is closed but upper 2 is still open and hard. Slick rock trail is closed, i can't remember what number that trail is. Helicopter pad, guardrail, school bus is still open. Thats about the jist of it maybe someone else can fill in the blanks I forgot.

Yeah 4,5,6,3 are baby trails, 7,9, lower 2, 75% of 8 is closed, the bump on 8 is filled in. trails 12 (school bus) and trail 11 ( guardrail and Helipad) just as nasty as before, Trail 2 Upper (big rock) is still there.

If you have lockers or a locker.. trail 12 isnt as bad as you think. Most of the hard sections have bypasses.. We had a guy in a Grand Cherokee go up 12.
So if he can do it, so can you . Do it before they close it down!

What weekend / day exactly are y'all planning to ride? We may be in the area close to the time, and I'd love to meet some fellow JK owners!
