Default Tin Cup Springs - 1/17/09

I had a blast with Covert_Ops and 08UnlimitedSahara810 despite having our ride cut short by some technical problems with Michael's Jeep. He was blazing the trail when he reported on the CB that his Jeep died and he had a red lightning bolt warning light. The Jeep did restart but with limited power.

Tin Cup Springs is an ORV Route 4 miles north of Nirvana, MI in the Pere Marquette State Forest.

Here's a few photos.
Tom starting a nice downhill.

Waiting on Tom to clear the next section.

Michael giving Tom a little pull.

Lunch break.

Michael trying out his new winch.

My secret weapon!

Thats funny. As I was driving our K9's bomb truck to go pick up ammo last week I had the same problem. Red lightning bolt came on the dash and lost all power. I couldnt drive over 40 mph. Its a Dodge Ram Pickup with HEMI 4x4. Not sure on the year. I ened up turning it off and back on and It went away. I read in the owners manual that it has something to do with the electronic throttle control or something like that.

It was a fun trip.

We made it home at 1:00am. Went 147 miles and never made it over 31mph.

You take better pictures than I do.

I was at west branch yesterday and trails were very deep.

We had one suburban with us and he could not stay on top of the snow, and kept breaking thru the sno crust which ment he was stuck all the time, then we got stuck in his ruts.
