Default Todays JK Run to Gold Mountain and Deep Creek..Big Bear Ca.

So... I would like to start by saying Im sorry for not remembering any names today. There were about 12 rigs that showed up for the run and each Jeep averaged two or three people. I can say that everyone was super friendly and made me feel very comfortible. Thanks to everyone for giving advice on solid lines and helping with my spring issue. Thanks to Ty for coordinating the run and helping spot everyone when needed.

After meeting up in the morning we started off by heading up Gold Mountain, there was ALOT of traffic today so everyone brought their patience. After about 3.5 hours we made our way off Gold Mountain and headed over to deep creek, unfortunitly we were turned around after about 45 min in due to another group that had some vehicles that had broken down in a steep ledge area of the trail. We backtracked and took the roundabout way. After some paved roads, killer views, and humid heat we made it to the much anticipated watering hole.
Really looking foward to the next one!!

Im not going to go into to many details, I'll let the pics do the talking.

Sorry for the quality they were all taken with my Iphone, most while driving
<BR>

Like Harry said, sorry we had to take off early, but I had a time commitment...actually made it home in time too! Dishpan is a totally different trail right now compared to last fall...much more of a hard core trail than it was thanks to the depth of the space between the rocks....gotta love it and thank heaven for my solid diff covers!

Good meeting some new peeps and seeing others again! Hope to wheel with y'all again soon!

Allan

PS: Ty, I really did like your hat! Way cool retro kinda thang!
