Here's a link to a map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...,0.109692&z=14
How'd you guess? LOL! How are things up there in AK? I've got to make it back out there someday and take the wife! Preferably in summer...

On President's day we decided on the spur of the moment to head out to the Toroweap Overlook on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The 61 mile dirt road takes you one of the most remote areas in the country where you can stare 3000 feet all the way down to the Colorado River. There are no crowds and no fences so you have to watch where you step.
Here's the sign at the beginning of the trail warning you of there being no services.
At the trail head....
At the overlook. There were a few muddy patches along the way.
My brother and his girlfriend staring straight into the canyon.
Colorado River 3000 ft below.
Rapids to the right.
I know, looks photoshopped huh?
The time of day made lighting an issue.
Looking south across the canyon.
Looking through the binoculars at the river.
The three of us sitting just feet from the edge.
Climbing some boulders to get a different vantage point.
The view is dizzying at times.
Dusk brings out the colors. What an amazing place!

Great pics.
We re going to be making a trip, with the MH and Jeep in tow, from Tuscon to Utah middle of next month and are thinking about stopping at the GC.
Gotta remember to make that side trip as well.
