A few months back several of the So Cal JK crew had talked about how one of our favorite little spots was going to the dumps quick. Toad and WOL are making an effort in their already busy worlds to arrange for a clean-up of the area compliments of Project-JK. I decided to take a drive down there today and see what the place is looking like after not being there for a few months.
One of those I have to see it for myself kinda moments......
So, Rangleme and I took a quick run up the main road and stopped at the parking area just before the assorted housing near Holy Jim trail. I can tell you that people are dumping everything out there. I saw everything from matresses, old camping furniture, a shell to a truck, misc auto parts, cans, bottles, old tennis shoes, and pure garbage.
Graffiti yes all over the place! They do have a couple of large tractors parked just past the Trabuco Flyers air field that they seem to be moving some dirt around with.
We did not get a chance to get out and walk around the funzone to check it out but I think the main road pretty much tells us what it is gonna look like. It's kinda sad.
Also, there was a 2dr Flame red JK w/ Project-JK stickers parked at the trailhead when we got there and was still there when we left. Sorry we missed yah! I think you were out mountain biking.
We did have a chance to take a couple of pics though!
disclaimer: these shots are on the main road and not anywhere we were not supposed to be. Please Tread lightly it's our hobby and earth you will be protecting
