Several of us from the flatlands of IL will be going down there the weekend of 4/24. It will be my first trip w/ a Jeep, but I've been going down there for 20 years on bikes.

The pictures look like it's not too wet right now. Hope it stays that way.

Yep, that gal said she has been running them for a while now without a problem and she wheels often. Anyway they broke in down Sunday and replaced the drivers side shaft, she drove it to IN on Monday. I'm glad they put the D44 in the JK.

Wow, very nice. Not too far from me, I need to get the kids up there, do some camping, fishing and wheeling.

Regarding that WJ, I still love seeing a WJ with some meats and a little lift! Very nice looking.

How is Turkey Bay for the unmodified, stock tire kind of guy? I'm working toward some better tires, but financially....bills need to be paid.

All you really need is a good set of aggressive tires aired down to a lot of the trails there. Most of the trail system would be in the moderate range with a easy perimeter trail that loops the park. Lots of loose shell like rocks so traction is the key to making it around the park. There was a stock JK in our group that had a set of MT's that went everywhere I went except for Rockyroad.

Cool. My SRA's are about halfway gone (12K) and am saving for some BFG AT's or GY Duratracs, I should have upgraded at least to the BFG MT's when I bought it. I was too excited about getting it!

Yup, that would be me. My Firestone Destination MT's got us everywhere we needed to go except those areas where I just don't have enough clearance. And that will be resolved as soon as I can set the funds aside. But now that the wife is on board (and I think she always was, actually...now she tells me...) it won't take much to get that done! ha

Good luck and don't let the fact you are essentially stock stop you from experiencing these great trails.
