It is just a dirt road, but stop at the visitor center and get a permit to visit Tall Tree Grove. Son and I did that a few years back on July 4th weekend when every other campsite was full. We saw no one during our stay. If you camp, you must backpack a quarter mile past Tall Tree Grove. It is beautiful along the creek.
