A week in Buena Vista, CO
I divided the pictures up by day so it'd be slightly smaller bites, but, still, there are some big galleries. There's a Slideshow button at the upper right in the default Smugmug skin. My Jeep is the smurf, my buddy Jim has the red one.
Day 1 was cool and rainy in the A.M. and we started off the week with an easy ride through the Fourmile area, N.E. of Buena Vista (we based in BV all week). After lunch the sun was peaking out so we motored over to Chinaman Gulch.

Day 2 weather was simply glorious and we took the opportunity to hit some of the best scenery in the area. We started with Grizzly Lake then headed over to St. Elmo and Tincup Pass.

Day 3 we decided to hit the road and try Schofield Pass. It's not particularly difficult, but as with a lot of places in CO, if you screw up, you die. Plus we could see Crystal and the Crystal Mill.

Day 4 was an easy one. Our nerves were pretty well shot by the impending death of the past few days so we just rode up Hancock Pass then hit Salida for a beer.

Day 5 was finally a motorcycling day. Melissa and I rode over to CO Springs and up Pike's Peak.

Yep, thx Zpack. Rather than post individual pics I decided to post "cold links", for lack of a better term, to the whole galleries. It's probably turning some people off but I hoped those that were really interested would enjoy more than I would posted have individually.
