Wilborn's ATV Trails...VIDEO
We went today with some family who have dune buggies to Wilborn's in Hanceville, AL because they were having a hill climb competition...there was a crap load of buggies and ATV's, but not many Jeeps....this is definitely not a park for regular size vehicles, but we still had fun and were able to get around to all the hills and at least watch. That's mostly what this place is, STEEP HILLS, and lots of em. We went down one that was so steep I was sliding a little...and that was in 4LO, 1st gear, and both feet on the brake! Two guys flipped their buggies, one had to be hauled away in an ambulance....ouch.

This is the guy who they hauled away...

Here's the JK posing in the "parking lot"...

BTW, for those of you who don't like mismatched spares......how's this one??

Thanks, I almost forgot to mention this...
The steep hill I mentioned above, when you start to go down it just looks like a straight drop off...you can't see ANYTHING except the bottom of this canyon which is a LONG way down. We were at the top about to start descending when my wife starts freaking out...she wouldn't do it she said. I tried to convince her it would be ok, but nope...wasn't gonna happen. SO, I had to back up...that was embarrassing! People behind me had to move out of the way, but what made it worse was this jackass in a buggy yelled something like "What, you too scared to mess up that pretty Jeep?"- and then was laughing like a 12 year old bully. We did finally go down it, after everyone cleared out. It was not my finest moment....
However.... later in the day when we had to go back down the same hill, we started going down and that guy was trying to come up the same way...I didn't budge, made him back up, then just gave a "friendly" wave as we drove by....he didn't say a word!
Here's a video of the first time we went down....I told my wife to start taping so she would have something to do and not flip out on me. It never looks as bad on video as it does in person, but trust me it's steep.....
