Mathematically speaking, I think 285/70R17 tires are only 32.7" high in the best case. If you want an actual height of 33", you're better off looking for a tire with an advertised height of 34" or maybe even a 35" tire that runs small. That being said, don't doubt these Duratracs and their 32" actual height. I often ran in groups where the other rigs had 35's and 37's, and I went everywhere they did.
Im not doubting the tires and their ability. Im doubting about how they will look with a 2.5 in lift. I have found a few 285 70 17 that do actually measure up to 33 and thats what ill probably go with unless i find some convincing pics of these with a 2.5 in lift

No problem. Good luck with your search. For comparison purposes, here's what they looked like on my rig with a 3" lift.

The tires are still available. I had a Craigslist buyer lined up for tonight, but he stood me up and lied about it.

That sux. Do you know how wide the tires are? If they're 10.5 I might want them, 12.5 is gonna stick out a little too far (my rims have 4.5" bs).

Yeah, they're about 10.5" wide from sidewall-to-sidewall. The actual contact patch is about 9.5" lug-to-lug.

By the way, the wheels in the pics above have 4.75" backspacing, and the tires stuck out about 1.5" beyond the stock flares. An inch of that was sidewall.

Cool, thanks. If I can get a deal going for my current GY Silent Armor 285s, I'm all over yours. In the meantime if you get a buyer, go for it. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
