Hey guys,

Is there a set order to tire rotations?

I am looking to know if there are certain spots each tire should go to from where they are so that over time, all 5 have not been in the same spot so tire wear is minimized.

Not sure if I explained that properly, but hopefully you know what I mean

There's a thread on here for this... I used to have the diagram on my phone but its on another memory card... Basically, spare on right rear. Rt rear on rt front. Rt front on left rear. Lt rear on lt front. Lt front on spare.

I've been using the same that's in the chart (right side). They guys a the tire shop kinda look at it funny, but I would rather get the miles out of all my tires rather than have an unused spare to try and sell when I change tires.

And if you don't use that spare in your rotation, it might not be good in a couple years when/if you get a flat!

I just went to a shop yesterday and did a rotation, I said to rotate the spare in also. I was told they don't cross over tires anymore from one side to another just back to front because it damages the tire to cross rolling side. I know that's right on expensive directional tires but it doesn't make sense to me on regular tires like the Jeep. Thoughts?

The type of tire does make a difference. The shop you went to makes the generalization so they don't have to think about it.

I've been doing the the rotation shown in the picture above for 38,000 miles now. No damage to the tires, and they are all wearing evenly.

The tread on my km's seem to all be universal. Not sure what the SR-A is but I've done mine twice and no ride difference or anything.
