Default best tires for a jeep? help

So I just got my first jeep, a 2016 jku w/ manual trans, and I love it. She drives great, and it better than any other 4wd I've driven in bad conditions (this includes a duramax on 40's, as well at Toyota Tacomas/4runners and a cummins) so it safe to say I'm impressed. the only thing I'm lacking in is a good set of tires that will get me where I need to go. I love hitting any trails I can find. I live in an area that gets a good amount of snow in February, yet lacks the funding for a good team of snowplows. any suggestions? thanks in advance!

If you're doing a lot of highway driving and it's used for moderate off-road use, I'd say look at either BFG KO2s or Falken AT/3W tires... both are well rated for snow. I run KO2s and am pleased with them on the highway and in the rocks as well as rain. I've yet to do anything in the snow with them (live in NC).

Both noted in jedg's post are good on & off highway.. Falken Wildpeak AT3s are avail in both T117 (like a load range B) and T121 (like a load range D or E)... Would not recommend the T117s if you do much Rock crawling.

I personally believe that Toyo/Nitto are producing the highest quality tires at this time. I'd just pic the model that suits your wants and needs best.

I did a lot of research on this over the last month and went with Cooper AT3 XLT's. I wanted a good wet, snow, trail all terrain and with a 60K warranty I was sold.

My old Jeep had Goodyear Duratracs, were excellent in all conditions. Used to use them in work trucks in rural Kansas lots of unplowed roads, they were awesome.

Running Goodyear MTR Ks on my current Jeep, love them, but don't think they would fair well on Ice and Snow.
