Default Fab tech 3in lift kit

Hello I am new to the forum and to jeeps as well! I purchased a 07 Jeep Wrangler Sahara jku and I just got a fab tech 3in lift kit are any of you guys running this lift? Any installation tips? I’m going to run it with bilstein 5100 shocks instead of the provided fab tech shocks thanks!

That's not a company that gets talked about much here, from what I've seen anyway.

The Caster will be low, so you will probably want some form of correction (a single set of fixed arms or adj arms. Or a set of CA brackets. Cams are also an option, but look at the others first.) The front axle will be off-center. If that bugs you, get an adj trackbar. (the kit includes a trackbar bracket to center the rear axle - don't use a bracket up front! Get an adj bar)

On the more expensive 3" on their site, I see a drop pitman. If you choose to do steering correction at some point, do yourself a favor and skip this option. Look at high steer/draglink flips instead. (this is where a front trackbar bracket will be used.)

Looks like the links are just longer. If you will be taking it offroad, you might consider Disconnects instead.

And if you do talk yourself into control arms, check out MetalCloak.

welcome to the forum lots of knowledgeable folks such as NTHINUF. You will not be happy with the results of this lift with out doing some form of caster correction as mentioned above. I would not be so quick to change to a different brand of shock after all, these are already paid . pay attention to the front drive shaft angle in relation to the pinion after you install the lift and have it sitting on the ground. Good luck let us know how it goes...

I'm going to say what nobody else wants to say......and I usually don't like being so blunt about it, but if you can return it you should, and then ask some advice on some other options that will be better suited. All that is really going to do is add height and not address anything that needs to be addressed after the fact. There are a lot of variables involved in lifting a vehicle. When you change one variable (springs) it changes various other things (caster angle, axle center, roll center, shock length, brake line length, sway bar lengths, so on and so forth). That is as bare-bones as it gets. Those shocks are likely not worthwhile and wasted money. If you're using different shocks you're now in that for $1k or so. You'd have been so much better off spending $1200-1400 and being done completely. with this you're spending ~$1k and going to be chasing headaches and adding to it to work out issues.....like caster. Also, that looks like it has a rear track bar drop bracket which is not what we'd do.....always raise axle side bracket rather than lower frame side brackets.

Sorry, that is a pretty negative comment for me on here but it's the truth.

Send it back an buy a decent lift. That one is missing bout half the stuff you are going to need to get it to drive good. There are several companies out there like this that take advantage of people that don't know what they are doing and buy because of the cheap price. These companies sell junk and in the end you will likely replace everything in the kit anyway because of poor quality. Even if you can't send it back you are better off throwing it in the trash and ordering something better. Don't waste time on it and certanly don't pay a shop to put it on as you will just be throwing more money away.
