What about those of you with manuals? Any regrets?

Gotta agree with the posts above... these 2drs look perfect with 35's, but the 4dr calls for 37's.
I think the auto is way better off road

I wish I had a stick on road though

being I bought the jeep to go wheeling I opted for the auto

I am fortunate enough not to need the jeep for a daily driver like most, I have a 07 Tundra for that

She sleeps in the garage and it's not a daily driver but yes I installed 2 sets of Gorilla locks (2 on each wheel) I figured that would at least slow em down. But as we all know...locks only keep out honest people. if they want em bad enough they are as good as gone!

I am just about done with the mods, the only thing left is Tube Fenders. Just waiting for some nicer ones to come out.

And then you're going to be bored with it, and going to want my flame red for a straight trade to start your next project? Hey, whatever floats your boat man!

funny...I meant I was waiting for nicer tube fenders to come out. I want some strong metal ones like they make for the older wranglers.

I intend to ship it to the Commonwealth of Dominica in the Caribbean eventually. I bought some land there up in the rain Forrest and when I ever get around to building a cabin there I want to ship the jeep over.

This is my first time owning a manual... and I think it's a blast.

That being said, i haven't done much off roading with it, and I'm only regretting it because I'm finding it a little more difficult to drive compared to other manuals I have driven (A complaint several people have made, as well). Also the 1-2 shift is a little sticky, but I'm not sure if that's a wide-spread issue or not (We've had a few people say the same about that too).

Let's not threadjack this thread too much. It's a great thread and it sucks to sift through off topic debates.

Check this one out.
