Default Tire stuff

Hey guys, first post here. Just had a few questions about tires with only a 1.5” lift and no spacers. Currently running 265/70r17 but looking to move up to the 33” ballpark when they give out. 275/70r17 seems like a safe bet with no rubbing, but 285/70r17 is exactly what I’m looking for. I have heard of slight rubbing with the 285’s on stock rubi wheels cause of width, so am hoping someone has a solution w/o needing spacers. After all, they are just .22 inches too wide. Any other suggestion for 33” tires for stock rubi wheels? Thank you!

Hello! So, I have a 2012 JK 2 Door. When I first bought it the first thing I did was to put on the 285's on the stock rims. I encountered rubbing at full right turn between my drivers side tire and the sway bar. A couple washers on the right/passenger wheel bumper on the knuckle fixed this, and I never encountered any rubbing on my stock fenders while under flex, but I would check this first. If you encounter rubbing on the fenders, you might consider extending your bumpstops to keep it out of the fenders.

I’ll second the washers, I have 285/70 17’s and have rubbing on the sway bar at full turn, washers behind the steering stop would fix that, but I haven’t worried about it yet. Other than that, no troubles yet, I don’t do any rock crawling though
