TPMS adjustment?
Hi all 👋 so I'm told I have to lower my tire pressure cause I went with 285's over the stock 255's. However the TPMS keeps going off. Now I know there are different ways to reprogram the alert but I've learned my lesson and am asking first what is the preferred way to change the systems alert?
And thank you to everyone who helped with my lift/wandering issue! It's just down to the fine adjustments now but at least I can drive my Jeep on the highway again!

the easiest way is probably using Jscan + BT dongle. If you don't have a Jscan license for that jeep yet, it's a very handy app. It's worth the $20 license for diagnostics alone. They have a list of approved dongles to use depending on your operating system....usually ~$20-25 on amazon.

Ok, it's an app for my phone. Cool! Never heard of it before! I just downloaded it and I'm off to find an OBD interface whos-a-whats-it.
Whos-a-whats-it found for $42 it'll be here Thursday. I'll let you know how it goes!
Thank you very much!

Here is the website .. all the info about Jscan... JScan ? OBD JScan ? Mobile Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge Diagnostic Tool Also Jscan has a very good Facebook page. Yes it is an App for you phone and with the OBD Adapter (dongal) it communicates with the Jeeps systems.
it's pretty dynamic. you can read all sorts of live data and dig into all the vehicle modules for diagnostics. you can also do a lot of programming including gearing, TPMS, and a whole slew of other things. you can also do a things like prgram new keys, bleed ABS.....it's really a bargain at under $50 all-in. If you plan on owning the jeep for even just a little time it's worth getting. Visit Jay's link above, and then you can find it in the apple store or google play....which ever operating system you are on. You can have it on multiple phones, but you purchase a license that is tied to the specific vehicle VIN.
JScan is well worth the cost of the Bluetooth dongle and the license fee. Haven’t adjusted the TPMS yet, but I did correct the speedo/odo for the larger tires, enabled the fogs with high/low beam, and set them as DRLs, plus turned on the backup camera function for the rear camera - the $22 or so for the license and $25 for the dongle was much less than the dealer would charge for any of those individually. I’m sure I’ve only scratched the surface of what JScan is capable of, but even still I can’t recommend it enough.

Oh that’s exactly what I wanted to get rid of is the annoying light on the dash and didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on sensors.
