Default Wheel spacers or lift?

Have a stock 2013 JKU Sahara and just put on new LT275/70-18 Cooper Discoverer Trek's. On full turn I'm rubbing. What would be the best way to go? 1-1/2" spacers or a 2"- 2-1/2" lift?
Or one of the leveling kits that add 2" front and 1" rear?

Welcome to JKF.. Good group of members with much knowledge and willing to provide suggestions - experiences. NOW 1 question Where is the RUBBING? Lifting will address some areas of Rub and Spacers or wheels with less Back Space address other areas.. Use; i.e.. off road rocks and much articulation will also direct a course of action. Let us know on what the tires are Rubbing into.

Sorry forgot to add that. They're just rubbing a little bit on the sway bar. Mainly when turn the wheel to the right. Doesn't look to hit when you turn the wheel to the left.

If it's not that much you could try just adding a couple washers to the steering stop to limit the steering a touch.

+1 on that. It makes little difference in the turn radius, and the front U-Joints will have less stress.

And on a side note, just spacing the wheels out will probably cause tire contact with the fenders at full articulation, presuming stock fenders, bump-stops, etc.

I think I'll do that since it's only at a hard full turn. Also thought about loosing up the away bar mounts and trying and slide it over to even it out side to side since the one side even at hard turn doesn't rub.

Thanks!!!

I had the same issue when I installed my 285 tires. As soon as I lifted 2.5" the problem has disappeared ever since. Resharp's idea is a good quick fix that works too.

Depends on what you want to spend. I would say lift over spacer but it depenss on how you use your jeep. I try to say away from wheels spacers when possible, but If you are just looking for clearance then spacers are a good choice. Make sure to get a good set and not some cheap ones off Amazon. Do all 4 tires so your front is not wider then your rear.

I would go with the washers, easy, cheap, and it works.

Saying that, I haven’t put any washers on yet, i just try to remember to not turn all the way, it hasn’t bothered me enough yet to do it, but from those options, i say washers is the way to go

Spacers were perfectly fine for me, basic tire size, didn't try to push it and had only 1.5" lift in front, .75" rear
