Default $3 mirror relocation when doors !!

Oops. When doors OFF!
I was talking to a co-worker when she mentioned a friend did this. I was thinking of same thing but location was key!

$3 for 2 -2" sticking mirrors from Walmart. Convex, thin ones so vents can still flip.

Sorry for poor lighting installed, but both are installed on counter. Flip when not in use!!

Not as good as real mirrors, but covers blind spot.

Every state has different laws on the legality of mirrors that do or do not extend out the side of the vehicle. I did this same thing for mine, but ended up only using it for the passenger side, have a atv mirror i mount to the door hinge for the driver side.

Don't think I will have to worry about being legal in Louisiana. Cops busy chasing real criminals... I really wanted this for safety so I could see and not look for the mirrir that wasn't there as I was changing lanes!

I did this for about a week, couldn't see sh*t. Then made a pair from a write up from project JK... those worked fine but got annoying to put on and off after a while. THEN I finally decided to get these bad boys...

EXPENSIVE YES... BUT they are worth it. They take literally like 10 seconds per side and you're 100% legal and can pretty much see a good amount. Just a recommendation for others looking at this. It was worth the $$ for me, especially when driving down the shore in heavy traffic.... cutting across a couple lanes for an EZ pass without mirrors SUCKS. Just my .02

Default My Cheap solution

I bought an mirror extension at the local auto parts store ($15?), threw out the bar mount and bolted it through the hinge. The photo is of my XJ in this setup but I got the idea from a CJ. Easy and cheap. Mirror worked fine.
