Default 2 door JK "bunk"

If you've ever tried to sleep in your 2 door JK, you've had a miserable, pretzel like night. My solution, remove the passenger seat and build a "bunk" like shelf. I am almost finished with this project and will post pictures before heading to Maine to Jeep sleep instead of tenting in the woods. This as I do some Appalachian Trail work for a few days. Obviously there is now no passenger space but plenty of storage under the bunk. I do have the rear Mopar "trunk" accessory and it is incorporated in this project. Doing some extended solo traveling? This might be the answer to rest stop sleeping. Stay tuned.

Curious to see how this works. I slept in my 2 door once the night of my bachelor party, no rear seat- still a very uncomfortable experience

I sleep in my 2 door often, but have a roof rack for storage and I'm only about 5'10" so I sleep diagonally in the back with the passenger seat just pushed forward. I believe height ange and weight are large contributing factors. Still, I'm very interested in seeing more.

Mind if I ask where in Maine you'll be going? I'm currently in Shapleigh. (Visiting)

"If " the JK had a fold -flat front passenger seat like the Compass, Patriot , Grand Cherokee , new Cherokee , you could have a bunk and passenger seat. Too much to ask the design team at Chrysler .

Didn't get to take a photo yet. Sleeping in it Fri, Sat, Sun eves. If i get a decent night's sleep I'll be able to also rate my "bunk" I also gave a hammock setup some thought but the 2 door is just too short.

The jammock is a joke- I've got one. You couldn't sleep in it and it isn't near what I was expecting.
