Default 2008 exhaust manifold

I recently started smelling exhaust fumes through my vents in my 2008 JK.Took jeep to dealer and their diagnosis was that both exhaust manifolds were warped.Very surprised to hear that being that jeep only has 40k on it.So now i am shopping for new manifolds. My question for someone's advice is should I just out a stock header back on or should I upgrade to like a rugged ridge header. All of my exhaust is still stock. Thanks for any help

Any chance you are the original owner and have the lifetime powertrain warranty?

No I'm not the original owner,Dealer said 3 year 36 on the manifold.Looks like I'm replacing them in my own.Was just wondering if it's worth upgrading them or replacing with stock parts. Thanks

I have the same issue plus some rattle from the catalytic converters. I'm thinking about cutting them off and putting headers on. Then sell the converters to a buyer to pay myself back for the headers and new exhaust. I don't know how much the converters will fetch, but at least the problems I have should go away.

Bought new Dorman exhaust manifolds from amazon.$160.00 not bad.Now just need to find time to replace them.Job doesn't look to hard.I have been pre treating bolts on manifold with lubricant so hopefully no bolts will break.
