2011 Front Brake Line Relocation - Correct TF BB Lift Design
I pulled mine off the brackets as well.... Was a PITA...but they sit just fine on their own next to the shock. No need to mount them to anything. I can't see any situation that would put them in harms way any more than with this new mount. And I can flex full with 4.5 inch of lift without any issue.
Do you have any concern over the brake lines being pinched by the spring when it is compressed? Some guys who have removed the bracket have loosely tie wrapped the brake line to the shock to eliminate this concern.
Others have routed the brake line behind the shock. But on my 2.5" lift the brake line drooped enough when the tire was turned hard that the brake line could get caught under the shock bracket and then risk being damaged when the suspension extends under articulation. With the 4.5" lift there may not be enough droop for this to happen with the break line behind the shock.

Brakeline droop is only a problem if you route the brakeline behind the shock with no support. If the brakeline is kept in the original position between the shock and spring with a 2.5" lift, then the concern is that the line will become taught when articulating if it is left attached in the stock position.
Guys just a heads up. I did this exact fix on my 2012. When finished the pics on here look exact to my mount.
I wheeled this weekend and had some substantial rubbing of the bracket on both my teraflex coils and the Bilstein shock bodies. The noise was unnerving as I thought I had bent a suspension component.
I called Teraflex and they recommended zip tying the stock line to the shock body OR if you can get the lines loose from the mounting bracket to leave them droop.
I appreciate the write up on this and it seems to work for many of you, but I would caution if you are planning on wheeling frequently as you may experience issues like I had. I did trying bending the mounting plate into different positions to see if it would remedy the rubbing but I was not successful.

I have yet to disconnect my swaybar!
I am saving for a new front DS and don't want to ruin my CV joint on the factory one so I have not discoed yet. I'm on a 2.5" lift....that's it.
