Hi all, Hope this is correct place for this question. I am installing a Cobra 75 WX and plan to place the connector box inside my console. I searched console removal but cannot find how to remove just the inside box and not the whole console. Parts diagrams LOOK like the box can come out with maybe the rear plate. Anyone do this? Wouls really appreciate the help. I can use the 12VDC outlet insiode the box to feed the CB and already have the antenna to the side of the console. Now if I can just remove the interior box...........

It was alot easier to remove the center console completly. Like so:

- Remove the Transfer Case Shift Knob.
- Remove forward/upper console by lifting up, as to release retaining clips.
- While the front is up remove the shifter boot retaining ring by uncliping it and tilting it through the hole.
- Revove the 4 screws that retain the lower half of the console and storage bin. Two at the front and 2 near the rear.
- Remove lower console, and disconnect the power outlet.

After that everything is easy to get to and the console has to be removed to get the inner bin out.
