I guess we'll have to figure it out ourselves.

I'm sure that it can't be too bad to do. But I like to have things written out for me when it comes to messing with electrical stuff. I guess I'm just not that confident with my skills.

Finally got around to doing the mod this weekend. It was pretty easy! Here's some pics. If anyone is interested, I can put together a brief write-up.

Did mine also a couple weeks ago .Its a snap two wires.

Used a flatbed truck replacment marker light.Less than $4.Mounted in sparetire bracket so without spare still have light.

You can do it several different ways.
I tried the Tractor Supply $4 light, but it didn't have enough intensity.
So I ordered a 1 watt wide angle CREE LED, red, with an aluminum base (from plasmaled.com) and used the Tractor Supply lens and reflector. The LED is screwed to the Hutchinson center cap, and a 2 wire trailer brake connector gives QD capability. The reflector and lens are mounted using JB Weld and Superglue. The wiring can be ran many ways, but I elected to use some old heavy duty coiled microphone cord ran from one of the tailgate grommets.

The result is easy to see day and night, and matches the factory brake lights pretty well.
