Adding fog lights to JKs that didn't come with them?
Any write-ups for adding fog lamps to JKs that didn't come with them already installed at the factory? How hard or expensive would this be to do?
You might want to get a wire relay, or do as I did and wire from battery to switch, with fuse, to fogs back to battery.
I mounted some reverse lights with some walmart fogs, 26 bucks, and about 20 bucks worth of wire and such.
I have alot of the wire and such left and now I have reverse lights.
what lights do you want and where do you want them?

There's quite a bit of info available on this in the electrical forum that I used for reference. I added OEM fogs to my shrockworks mid-width.
As The_Captain suggested, I used a relay and to trigger the fogs I just tapped into the low-beams.
I could have ran a hot wire to a switch and then to the relay, but I didn't forsee using them and not using low-beams, and its illegal in some states to run them with hi-beams.

I used inexpensive Pilots from the local auto parts store. They've got a "blue-ish" look that I'm not fond of but they work great. Came with wiring harness for about $40 out-the-door. BUT... had to "fabricate" a mounting system as they weren't out of the box compatible with the hole cutouts.

If the Delta's had come out days earlier I probably would have went that route. Qtech has them for about $150 with wiring harness and I assume (by the description) that they are made to install right into the factory bumper. Don't take my word for it though...

I found out, as I got a Rubicon bumper from someone who got a real bumper/winch set up....and I took off the X's bumper, and low and behold...behind the outer skin...they are the same dam thing.
The mounts for the fog lights are there, the wire harness for the lights runs right there....essentially, all you'd need to make it identical, is that face piece that bolts to the FRONT/TOP of he bumper, not the whole bumper....
...Or, you could simply open the inner bumper up, and cut a hole in the outer front skin....and use the already supplied factory fog bracket, etc...poke the light through, and call it a day.
What you'd be missing is the raised circle that protects the lens on the Non-X bumper face.
