I'm sure there is a thread but I can't find one. Has anyone installed the factory heated seat them selves or have a better idea. I would love to put them in the back too for the kids, seat backs and all. Anyone have a link to a write-up.

 

I did it in my JK back in 2009. I don't have a write up, but I know there is one floating around on this forum, as i had used it, it was for the front only. But if you do one seat, the others are pretty much the same.
If you are not planning on replacing the actual seat covers, it is not a difficult job to do. I also replaced my original covers with Katzkins leather and it is a doable job, although much more involved. It took me the entire weekend, taking my time. I just ordered two sets of heated seats for the front, and just installed one of them on my rear seats.
