Question Anyone know of a Warn 8000 solenoid write-up?

I have installed a Warn M8000 winch on an LoD winch bumper. I have no idea how to mount the solenoid. I purchased a bracket (kind of an L) from Quadratec. Can someone point me to a writeup for installing the solenoid (not remote-mounting under the hood). AFAIK, there were no instructions included with the winch. Thank you.

If it's the Warn L bracket (#26368) you got, I didn't do a writeup but I did post photos:

Yes, that's the bracket. How in the heck someone like me is supposed to figure that out is mind-boggling

Thank you for that very simple solution. Sometimes a picture is indeed worth a thousand words.

Don't feel too bad - I made the guy at the parts store come out and play around with it until we finally figured out that was the only way it could go.

Weird, I have it mounted on the opposite side, front right post. The cables just reach. I tried where you have it, but couldn't for the life of me bend the cables underneath the box once mounted.

A simple "L" bracket from Lowe's, some stainless bolts, washers & nuts, a little drill time, black engine paint for the "L" bracket, then the Warn bracket and solenoid bolted to it, and it looks so much better mounted upright.

I'm going to try the Poison Spider fairlead mount for a pair of lights, not sure how it's going to look.

My "Temporary" solution was to ziptie it on, that was eight months ago, I should probably do a more permant mount at some point.

What did you guys do to spool it back in once you installed the winch. Mine is smoking and wont spool in all the way.

I rotated my motor back to put the high amperage lines in the rear and then mounted the solenoid pack to the motor with two big band clamps - this keeps it low and out of harm's way. (I'd post a picture, but my FTP is down.)

We can assume that smoking is bad for its health , but can you rephrase the question?
