Aux Fuse Block with Terminal Strip
Nice write up
a VERY cheap and nice alternative to store purchaced fuse blocks is go to the junk yard and remove one from a Suzuki Samurai. They have no relays in the block, are easy to wire in, hae mounting feet and include a cover. that and they usualy run like $5

You could always run your main power wire from a relay that is triggered by switched power, like from you cigarette lighter plug. Then you would have a 20 amp fuse protecting your trigger, and could also have a 20 or higher amp fuse in-line for your main power to your relay from the battery.
I just installed the Cirkit Boss too. The main unit is under the glove box, and I tapped off the heated seat fuse. I will also be using the Radio Shack terminal strip. I'm using the Belkin adapter to power and output digital sound from my Ipod. That will be attached to a cig plug and tucked under the glove box as well.
Here are some photos of the install:

If your looking for igintion on power for use in relays (IE non-power consuming) you can just tap off of the left cig lighter plug. I am using that for all of my aux. switches. That way when the key is off.... all the lights go off too.
Is there any particular reason you couldn't run thes straight to the battery? Except for the fact that all the leads would be hot even with ignition off. Just curious as I am electrically inclined enough to spark pretty much everything I touch.
I'm not really sure what you are asking. The main power wire is attached to the battery and the relay activation wire is attached to a ignition on fuse in the fuse box.
