Bedlined Door Hinges.
Hey everyone! I have been thinking about doing this mod but I had a few questions.
When taking the hinges off, is it required to mark where they go on the vehicle for re installation? If so, how did you guys mark the area?
When bedlining the hinges are you painting the tops? Are you masking off the holes that the door pin and bolts go into? Or are you just bedlining the fronts of the hinges? If so, do you think you could mask off the areas around them and bedline them while they are still on the Jeep and door? I'm just worried that I won't be able to realign the hinges and have the door not close properly.
And has anyone done the hood hinges, windshield hinge or the windshield brackets?
Thanks everyone!

just do 1 hinge at a time. When I did mine, I sanded them down, I'd 2 coats of primer an then bed lined them. I did the fronts an the backs of them. Trust me, you won't have any problem re- aligning the hinges because a soon as you get the hinge off there is no paint under neath the hinge. just take your time and let everything dry before you put them back on. good luck! here's a pic of mine.
Something I plan on doing later (just had my hinges replaced under warranty, but they would only re-paint original)
For a trick, something I saw on an Off-Road show - - -
Drill a small hole (1/16 bit) through the hinge into the body/frame. This will serve as an alignment hole when putting the hinge back on. You could spot touch the hole after they are all on to cover it over.
I have not done this so I can't attest to how well it works. Hopefully someone on here that has might have a couple additional tips - :-)
Cheers,

Cheers,
I havent bedlined my hinges yet, but I have had to removed the hinges in order to get them loose from the door (2007 with doors never have been taken off prior to me owning) because they were practically rusted together.
I am just restating what others have said. It was a piece of cake to re-align the hinges, as it was missing paint underneath it, as well as dirt/grime underneath. I lined it up, ran the bolts in, and the door shuts perfect.
It is not something I would worry about. You could even outline the hinge with a pencil, then rub the pencil mark off after attaching it.
