The combination of the quality of the Benchmark Skid Plate and your excellent write up convinced me that this was the best choice for EVAP protection. Now that I have one, I have one question: how do you remove the sensor plug from the evap unit? Is there a piece that needs to be depressed, or does it just pull straight off? I don't want to damage it. Thanks.

sorry for not following up on your question-been away for a while!--to answer your clip question, yes. its just a pinch type plug harness, similar to the door wiring harness quick release clips. just pinch, and pull-...(that's what she said!)-sorry, couldnt resist.-good luck!

Put mine on today. Very simple to do. It took me longer to find my socket than it did to put the skid on. There was a chip at the back side of the skid, but I will be doing worse to it than that, so no biggie. I also put on a set of Daystar hood latches today, too. The whole mod session took me 45 min

For those not wishing to take a bunch of wrenches or sockets under to figure out the right size. I used a 16mm to remove and re-install the factory bolts. Good write-up did not take me long laying on my back, thanks for the tip to remove the sensor first and slide it from front to back. Great product even better that everything lined up perfectly.
