Default C-Channel bumper so far

I decided to change my TJ modded bumper to something more rugged.
While I was asking around as to where to purchase C-channel, one of the
guys I work with said he had some at his fabrication shop.
He built this up for me, much better than I could.
I still have to duraline it.

Very nice. That's going to look really good.
I wish some of the vendors would build a simple bumper along the same lines. Please post an update when finished and installed.

Where can I get this bumper: http://project-jk.com/wp-gallery2.php?g2_itemId=6731

Was a skunkworks jeep from a few years ago, think it's an AEV bumper but can't find it anywhere.

That sure is a minimalist bumper. try a Warn winch plate, upside-down, behind some C channel. That red winch is only released by Warn to competitve rock-crawlers, apparently but any low-profile Warn should fit. Check out this AEV number on a Brute:

Thanks for the positive comments.

I hope to get it duralined and on at some point this week.
I'll post pictures when it is on.

After I get it on we are going to come up with some type of simple plate to replace the plastic POS that covers the frame rails btw the bumper and grill.

It looks great. I have some left over c channel laying around in my garage from a previous project, and I have been meaning to turn it into a bumper for my JK for a while, I just can't seem to find the time, but seeing this one gives me some motivation. Then again, the garage is cold, so maybe I'll wait until summer.

Where did you find the shackle mounts? They look good and really sturdy.

How long is that bumper, end to end? I have some c-channel, and haven't gotten around to measuring for length and hole spacing yet.

The shackle mounts are Pure Jeep. They include the grade 8 bolts.
I ordered them and the shackles from Dave at Northridge.

It is 2 x 6 C-Channel

It is 51" long; end to end. I wanted it to line up with the inner "points"
on the front fenders. The point where there is a distinct line next to the
headlights.

The weather warmed up here today, it was in the 30tys.
I used Dupli-color spray bedliner, 2 cans, to spray it today.
The fogs were installed to the bumper tonight.
I'm letting everything dry overnight and then I'll install it tomorrow
and post pics.
