i think it looks great...i've been thinking about maybe painting my grill a matte color just to break up some of the black on the jeep

but this was very well done, and i might just have to invest in something like this.

thanks for posting

I was thinking about vacuum molding... What if you bought one of those storage vacuum bags (ppl put clothes in and vacuum seal them on commercials) and find one big enough. That should solve the bubble issues.

Looks good and raises lots of possibilities for dash options. Just off to eBay

In addition to the side mirror housing, I thought about the door handles and anything else that has a plastic-looking finish.

I like it... I just wished there was a way to lay it down where you can get all the bubbles out. I like the idea about using the soap to move it around.

Did you get the legitimate 3M brand? or was it a no name stuff? Reason I ask is because I have used the 3M brand with great results, and is reusable to an extent. I tried out when they first launched at SEMA back in 09, and then got my on samples and sheets, works great and let me keep pulling it off when I messed up, and heat gun to mold it. The test at SEMA, was lay down a sheet, remove, roll it into a ball, then unwrap, apply heat and bam no creases or such. I dont mind doing this to my JK, since my grill is alil beat up from the road wear.
