CB install
just finished my CB install. turned out awsome, works great. and only speant 60 dollars.
cobra ultra CB. walmart $35
3ft antenna. truckstop $10
18ft cable. truckstop $10
antenna bracket. truckstop $10
installed the radio on the dash with the self taping screws included. ran the antenna cable behind the dash and through the trim to the back. then ran the cable down with the licence plate light cable through the body. brought the cable out the same hole. then drilled the hole in the licence plate cover for the cable to come out and meet the antenna. i ran the 12v cable behind the dash and then trough a hole in the body just above the brack pedal, and then to the battery.
following the harness with the antenna cable
so at the truck stop i had many choices for brackets, this the best i could think of at the time. it worked out good. just drilled the holes and instlled the bracket on the back of the license plate cover with 2 bolts and nuts.

Hmmm, I seriously considered mounting my Antenna like yours but haven't done it as yet.
Be sure to fill the hole in the license plate holder with silicone IMMEDIATELY!
and yes, it is posted in the correct area.

no, i live in spring valley. i was coming down the 15 around 1pm near the 8. so how i grounded it? i ran a ground wire from the backside of the mount bolts, { the inside of the license plate cover} to the frame.

I was thinking of doing mine like that too. Or drilling into the top of plate holder. Did you look at Fry's for CB stuff? I just want something for the trails ya know.
Cheers. North Park here by the way
