Cheap removable DOORs mod
Hi ALL
Made these up the other day. Thought it was a cheap solution.
Next time will use a rope with a slight stretch.
Cheers

Looks simple enough. Is it just for a piece of mind type thing of not being completely open to the road?
If you used rope you could probably tie up some nylon straps to it to fill it in a little.

Do you still have measurements for that? I want to make these and then put stainless steel mesh behind it, powder coat it first and then at work make a jeep logo on the cnc and rivet it on. Thanks

Yes I still have most of the measurement- I will have to get back to you in a few days. There written down in my garage... But all joints are 45 deg tac welds minus the bottom corners thats roughly 22deg cuts ( pita) but just make sure when welding to keep it all square and stick you welds- don't burn all of one corner at a time or you'll make you doors uneven and some parts will stick out. I used basic gate latches and added some garage door seal foam by the latch to keep it from rattling around. I've been waiting on my nutserts to get in so I can install my skins- the square tubes were. Powder coated black and the skins silver of the jeep (now white cause I rolled the silver one- another post.lol) and the stock mirror will mount in the stock half door location. but simple. Hold and install- if you make a set your friends will buy them!!! I had 6 people ask me to make them sets the 1st day I drove to work with mine. All in all I paid 90$ for 40 feet of stock and 5$ for latches. It takes around 12feet per front door. Pm me if you have any questions.
