Yeah, these are LEDs that are soldered to the PCB.
Will have a look at that once I got all the other stuff ready.

Thanks for the write up, I replaced mine with LED 3 3014SMD leds (10 pack on Amazon) The A/C, defrost and air recirculating led are different, they are smaller.

Anyone ever put red led’s in the climate control backlighting?

Hate to bump an older thread but I'm trying to change the lights to red ones as well. The bulbs shine white so they must shine through a green plastic backing. Has anyone found a way to change the color?

Keon, my lights are burnt out too. I'm gonna change them in the next week or so. I have an idea on changing the color. Once I get it apart I'll get back to you!

After reading this thread I did a video on replacing the LEDs on the board.

I do the same in my old 2009 I use some bright white leds and resistors, in my case have to try with diferent resistors cause I use for 12 volts at first and the leds die in a few weeks, then use resistors thinking in 14 volts and never have problems again.
