Just be careful if it rains with the top off. I have found this compartment fills up perfectly with water.

double ditto, I was going to post this myself and found the last two post with the same sentiment. Fair warning. I've had to prop that section open for days to get it dried out, not even sure how it got wet.

Nice mod! Great use of space!
Too bad the only place I can put my handguns in my jeep is in an approved locked case with a trigger lock and ammo in a different locked case... not only that but I can only go from my house to the range and back, by the fastest route only
All I have to say is cherish your freedoms and never stop defending them!

Thanks for heads up on the moisture problem, we've had a lotta rain this week and it was dry as a bone today when I started. I have seen water in the jack compartment so I will keep an eye on it
