Hi Hitch Buddy, good idea if you want to bring along the doors, but I really think you should try securing them to the rack better. I'd hate to hear you spilled them all over the interstate.

I would be worried about them falling out of the webbing also. I think that you would be screwed if someone rear ended you. even if they didn't damage the jeep you could be out of a few grand because their insurance company refused to pay for them because they shouldn't have been back there.

I like the idea but I would rather have them in the cargo area of the jeep.

There's also no security with the ratchet straps. I'd buy one of those cable locks just in case.

I came up with a custom Hitch carrierfor my doors it's 4'x5' and you can haul over 1300lbs.

Not a bad idea, but thats why they make soft doors, so you can take them off and put them in the back or take them with you in case of emergency.
