I would be worried about them falling out of the webbing also. I think that you would be screwed if someone rear ended you. even if they didn't damage the jeep you could be out of a few grand because their insurance company refused to pay for them because they shouldn't have been back there.
I like the idea but I would rather have them in the cargo area of the jeep.
There's also no security with the ratchet straps. I'd buy one of those cable locks just in case.

Ever wonder if you should take your doors off or leave them on?

I can now take my doors with and still have them incase of emergency.
I came up with a custom Hitch carrierfor my doors it's 4'x5' and you can haul over 1300lbs.
HERE'S A PIC I read the rules about posting hope I AM NOT VIOLATING ANY RULES .

Not a bad idea, but thats why they make soft doors, so you can take them off and put them in the back or take them with you in case of emergency.
