Default Easy Fix For Ugly Door Plugs

I saw someone trying to sell stainless plug inserts for over $5 each. I came up with a better idea. Go to Lowes and buy 1/2" Acorn Nuts. They run about $1.27 for a 2-pack. Just pop them into the center of the plugs, then you're done. Looks better in my opinion.

Enjoy your $3 upgrade (or less if you have a 2-door)

Ok, this is probably a dumb question but I'm not in my Jeep at the moment to check it out...

What are those holes for that you are plugging?
I don't remember seeing them in my door. I'm sure now I will notice it right away the next time I get in the Jeep.

They are in mine. Probably to access wiring to actuators and power windows maybe?

I always wondered WTF they were for as well. Something I always forgot to ask my friends at Jeep. Before they all got laid off...

I really don't know what the plugs are for. I don't have power windows or locks.

No need. Just for aesthetic purposes.

I didn't know either until I had to take apart my half doors for the power lock install...that's the hole you use to access one of the door latch/outside handle nuts with a deep well socket and long extension.
