OR-Fab tire carrier install
Does anyone have the AEV Corner Guards along with OR-Fab tire carrier?
Or maybe someone that has installed the carrier. Do you have any thoughts on how compatible it would be with an extra 1/8th inch thick corner guards installed?
Thanks

Tkob beat me to it... OR-Fab installed it on mine with the AEV corners. They took pics and documented it so they can assist/instruct others on how to do it. Basically, you have to cut off the "flanges" on your psgr side corner, that rise up over the hinges. Pretty simple to do with a cut off wheel or plasma, then just grind it down smooth. Put on some paint for rust preventative and you are done. Oh yeah, needed to also drill through the drivers side to mount the latch block. It really doesnt add much to the install, and can be done. Let me know if you might need any detailed or specific pics to help you out. I would PM the OR-FAB guys too for their advise. GREAT guys!
I just installed my carrier tonight...Not very stoked with this at all!
I think they could have spent a little more time on the instructions.
The fact that you have to hold up your tire to attach it to the carrier is a real joke! Try doing this with a 37" tire!
All the carriers I've ever owned, at least had the wheel sitting on a shaft or had studs to hold up the wheel..
Now the body is drilled and so am I!
