Yes. The two outside bolts on each side hold the plastic if I remember correctly

Anyone think we should start a contest for the most creative use of the stock bumper?
Is this what the wiring is for? Or am I pre-wired for fogs? I have a stock bumper without fog lights, but still have wiring in bumper...

Tomorrow my spyder poisen customs bumper gets a fresh coat of duplicolor and gets mounted to my Jeep..thanks Jeremy for the great bumper.I'll post pics when it is finished.
Brilliant! Sometimes the obvious stares me in the face.

Thread resurrection! I am getting ready to take mine. I have had it off before when I installed the Body Armor 4x4 plate instead of the plastic sled...I am hoping this goes easier!?! Fingers crossed...will try and throw up pics of the finished product.

Doing this without slicing a finger or wiring could prove difficult! I just used a pointed set of wire cutters that I could sort of wedge between the bumper steel and the plastic clip and SNIP.

Also, I didn't have a need for a 12" extension ... maybe others did but using a deep socket 18MM I used a 3" extension and got to the bolts from the top of the bumper without any problem. I will return the 12" on my next trip to Sears.

Thanks a TON for the write-up OP ... totally a n00b mechanic here but I'm a lifehacker at heart and love to learn. NEXT ... rear bumper.
