Default foam flooring cargo area liner

The thought was to cover over the canyon created when the back seats are folded down (for the dogs.) This worked.
I did slide a few extra pieces over the valley (under the foam) to strengthen that area...

note the "notch" at the rear left. The gate requires that or the floor will bunch up

The second thought was to help with the dog hair. This wasn't as successful, but ok.
Pulling the pieces apart sent the fur flying! I should have vacuumed prior to pulling it apart.

And, of course this doesn't cover the side wall carpeting...

Note the puzzle piece edges. They fit together tight.

package of 4 at the home improvement store for just over $10 (it took two packages)...
oh yeah, and a utility knife...

My huge golden retriever sheds so much hair its crazzy. I was thinking of something similar just to keep the hair from sticking into the carpet. No vaccum can suck his hair out. I pretty much need to pick them out one by one. It is slightly better with the top down..... some flies out the back lol

My Great Pyrenees sheds like crazy in the back of my rubi. I've found the best way to get the fur out of the carpet is with one of those sticky lint roller things. Picks it right up.

Awsome idea. I'm on it. I've got an American Mastiff. He weights in at 185 and sheds like crazy during the summer. I've been using a small section of carpet to cover the "valley".

I found it for 19 bucks at lowes... but the square footage was less than the pack at Wal-Mart which was 17 bucks. So I bought the Wal-Mart variety.

Awesome Idea man. I use those same squares in my son's playroom over the carpet so he has a flat area for his cars and LEGOs They also make good padding for a garage, like to lay on while working, or to stand on while working at the bench.

Dont mean to bring up an old thread, but I was about to start one on this. Nice work.

I wonder if a manufacturer picked up on this idea yet. (Like a husky full-cargo liner or something) I've been in the market for one for weeks now... That gaping hole is not good for my dogs limbs. Plus it would help with the hair problem.
