Thanks for the write up! I was just going to do the same thing and do a write up. I couldn't find the same mesh at Home Depot. The stuff that I got came in a roll. I'm going to keep an eye out for what you have. I could easily re-do this mod, and I plan on it.

I couldn't color match Red Rock Crystal with spray paint. So I just flat blacked it

I'll have to go there and check. Some of our family friends own a welding shop. I plan on stopping in to ask them.

Thanks for the info. Funny, just went to the home depot website, and no luck on the SKU. Stucco and tile work are not that popular up here in snow country. This could be why it's hard to find. I'll take a look again in the tile sections. If not, a poster in another thread suggested Metal Supermarkets. Two of the three stores here in NY are within a 2-3 hour drive. Now if it would just stop raining, and warm up so I could take the complete hard top off and enjoy the sun!

My previous experience with their website is that there's alot of items available in store that you can't find online. Kinf of like Costco. I would call your local store and give them the SKU over the phone to see fi they carry it. Good luck.

I think I saw this at my local HD in the same aisle as the rebar and chain link fencing near the lumber.

Good hunting.

Here is mine. Stainless woven mesh left over from a balustrade project. Used the same mounting method as the kit on Quadratec http://www.quadratec.com/products/13131_500X_PG.htm

I've gone the 6" strip route, with the 3M outdoor double sided stick squares, and it's not holding up to the harsh winters we have.

Thnks,

I got mine from Home depot they have a nice collection in the hardware section, The whole mod costed me 12 bucks with a can of black spray paint in the mix! Only took me an 20 minutes minus the hour for the paint to dry!

I LOVE these kind of DIY mods. Thanks. Imitation is the best form of flattery. I'm doing it!
