Default Gauge cluster painting

I have searched but cant find anything on how to remove the gauge cluster and paint the ugly silver..... Also what is good paint that will stick and post pictures if you have done this...Thinking about either blacking it out or like a dark royal blue.

Start from the bottom under the steering wheel. There's 2 panels under the steering wheel. The first one pops off and I think the second one does too if I remember right. Then there are 2 bolts on the bottom sides of the panel that surround the gauges above the wheel. After you take them out, the panel around the gauge pops out. Then there are a few bolts holding the gauge in place. 4 all around I think. Remove them then pull out the gauge a little. Remove the wires in back. The clear plastic then pops out and the silver part can be separated from the gauge.
This is all from memory so if I missed something, someone correct me.
Also, I got color matched paint from the dealer. $8 for a small can.
