Here's a simple way I came up with to better secure your pistol in the center console. I used a 511 tactec holster piece with screws and screw covers. The tactec mount allows the holster to be switch to other brands such as the one I used for upgrade like

 

Pretty cool set-up. Just remember local gun laws, I wouldn't want anything to happen......

That's pretty sweet! I usually just left the XD in the holster and used the double mag pouch to keep it in place in the center console. Or The one I don't do very often since I get scolded for it, But I actually would place the XD between the seat and console. Yes it's open, much easier to get too, But depends on the day and situation.
